about Trin
I started playing Second Life in September 2006 and will admit I really didn’t think I would still be here. I thought, like many of us the novelty would wear off; so far it hasn’t, I doubt it will now. Having spent months wandering about the SL network I joined one of the biggest Second Life Newspapers and began to explore my writing skills. Having worked at the original Lava Pit on Bradmor and latterly on Kiva Island I met Voodoo Buwan. Voodoo, a fellow Brit and creative junkie, also worked at the newspaper.
In October Voodoo and I decided to move on and try our hand at a different style of reporting. Without stress on daily news and deadlines we would take the time to investigate and interview people in articles for a new Second Life magazine, which we called Rez.
I don’t have any real life writing skills but do enjoy exploring this ability using Second Life. I love wandering about the SL network and seeing the things that inspire people and make them tick. I also enjoy the freedom to be a little controversial when the notion takes me. I am quite a sarcastic person and often speak as I find. A lot of Second Life residents don’t appreciate some of my comments. Agree or disagree, really you should realise my honesty.
The Things I Love
Well constructed buildings with good use of textures. Gadgets, guns, my steam train, my VW Beetle (Herbie), Second Life photography, Windlight, friends and loved ones.
The Things I Don’t Love
Overlapping prims with flickering textures, advertising sales overload rude people, xcite attachments on show, swaying or multi-coloured trees.
