about Voodoo
Voodoo Buwan came into existence in September 2006, and after he found some long hair that didn’t make him look like a woman (even with the beard), he set about finding his place in the world of Second Life. He’s been the vampire messiah, run an art gallery and library, worked in a couple of clubs, Dj’ed, but eventually returned to his true calling as a writer, working as an SL journalist.
He is at his best exploring the SL landscape for interesting and out of the ordinary places, or interviewing SL residents about their unique experiences in the game (a collection of which can be found in his ingame book “Times of Your (Second) Life”).
In rl, I have a University degree in Creative Writing, but I tend to put it to good use writing poetry, short stories or lyrics. SL has proved to be a whole new outlet to explore my own personal writing potential, and my craft improves day by day. Hope you like it.
What I love:
Poetry, non-mainstream music, comics, urban decay, scary things, blood splatters, tentacles, Sinistyle, eclectic music, and people using SL for something other than the whole dance/sex/shop experience.
What I don't love:
People who play their cheesey sound clips when I'm listening to tunes in a club, The idea that some people have that SL is just here for sex (from both people who do and don't play), Homophobes, Sexists, Racists, (insert any other bigotted predjudice here)ists, and groups that spam you with notices for the same event 50 times
